67th Armored Regiment Insignia pin. When I obtained it, it was attached to a small homemade cardboard square. Written on the cardboard it says 67 Armor. That would have been written by a past owner.
The pin measures about 3/4 by 1-1/8th inch. It's in good condition with the coloring still very vibrant. There are some scratches and it has the look of being around for quite a while. Unfortunately I don't know for sure the time frame on this pin. Maybe it's just me, but I think what's pictured is a mushroom cloud, so this pin could be from WWII time frame.
The back is marked "S-21" and "Made in U.S.A.". The back has a double clutch holder. The posts that the clutch holder attaches to are slightly bent but that doesn't seem to affect the security of the attachment.
I obtained a large lot of pins recently at an estate sale of a man who was a very serious pin collector. I was told he served in Vietnam so that was the time frame he specialized in but that he also collected pins from as early as WWI, WWII, and Korean War time frames.
This gentleman is moving into an assisted living facility, so his estate is being liquidated. The large lot of pins that I purchased consisted of 723 pins that he collected. I will list them several at a time in between my normal estate sale finds. If there is a particular unit's pin that you are searching for, just let me know because there's a good chance I'll have it.
