This rank pin was part of a large lot of over 700 military DUI DI insignia pins purchased at an estate sale. The seller was an avid collector of military items and he specialized in the WWII and Vietnam era. Unfortunately, I do not know the time frame on this piece.
It measures 2-1/4 inches high by 1-3/8ths inch wide. The back is marked I.I.C. and under that is G.I. The back has a triple clutch holder. The posts on the back are slightly bent, but that does not affect the clutch fastener staying on.
You will receive the actual pin that you see in my photo. There are some very faint scratches, but the zoom feature that I used to take the picture makes them look much bigger than they actually are. The back has more scratches, but the back isn't normally seen.
Although small, when wrapped it will exceed the postal limit of one quarter of an inch for normal envelope mailing. Delivery will be via USPS First Class Mail Package. Buyer to pay delivery charges of $5.75.
SPECIAL NOTE about SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly and again in November for the holiday season (so 3 times each year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their “Delivering for America” plan in which they hope to become profitable. It’s a 10 year plan that started in 2021, so we’ve got years to go with multiple price increases on shipping charges each year. I try to absorb some of the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in three years. This year, unfortunately, I have to increase the shipping. All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
