This eagle brooch pin has a wing span of 3.75 inches and stands 2 inches high. It is gold in color only.
In the talons of its left foot it is holding 3 arrows. In the talons of its right foot it is holding an olive branch. Its head is turned towards the olive branch on the right. The olive branch is a symbol of peace. The custom is that if its head were turned to the arrows side on the left, it would be war time. If turned to the olive branch on the right, it would mean peace time.
In researching this pin, I've only ever seen two exact others (at a much higher price than I'm asking). One listed it as being from the 1940s, the other listed it as being from the 1970s. I obtained this one at an estate sale so I have no info regarding the original date of purchase.
The pin is in very good condition, but there are a couple of very small spots of fading. I don't see them while looking at it straight on, but if turned towards the light you can see it at the bottom of the tail feathers.

International shipping charges also took a tremendous leap. International shipping will now depend on the country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
