This Southern Pacific Railroad belt buckle is new, never used, and still in its original box. Inside the box is a little card stating who made it. It appears to be custom made. I purchased it at an estate sale, so I have no info regarding its age.
The buckle measures 3.5 by 2.25 inches and has scalloped edges. In the center is the Southern Pacific sun logo. In each of the 4 corners there is a symbol relating to railroading. As it shows in my photo, in the upper left there is a locomotive, upper right has symbol for the Switchmen's Union of North America, lower left has the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers symbol, and the lower right has another locomotive. The buckle is gold in color. I believe it is brass, but am not sure.
