This is a Rawlings official Major League Baseball. It is signed, but I can not determine the name. I purchased it at an estate sale and have held on to it for a couple of years, researching from time to time to see if I could match it with any other signatures, but I can't read it good enough to really know where to start. Without knowing the name, it's very difficult to put a price on it.
If any of you baseball fans out there have a clue as to the name, I'd love to hear from you. If the signature is from someone with less popularity, I have no problem with accepting a lesser offer, but I'd want to know who it is first. If it helps, I purchased it in the San Francisco east bay area, but I've no idea if it is from a player on the Giants or the Oakland A's. I also do not know the age.
The actual baseball is in exceptional condition. Bright white with no markings other than those of Rawlings, Major League Baseball, and the signature. I don't even see any evidence that it was ever hit with a bat. The original box is included, and it's also in great condition except that the bottom has come unglued. A spot or two of glue and it will be back to perfect also.
